An 18-year-old Piper High School student is waking up behind bars.
Sunrise police have charged Kimanie King with the attempted murder of a Piper High School classmate and possession of a weapon on school grounds.
Investigators say King and Urique Wilson got into an argument over a gym class basketball game.
They believe King came back with a pocket knife with a 2 1/2 inch blade and stabbed the 15-year-old in the chest and back.
Wilson is in stable condition and is expected to spend the night in the hospital.

A dispute over a basketball game is the apparent motive behind a stabbing out of Piper High School in Sunrise.
Cops say an 18-year-old high school senior stabbed a 16-year-old sophomore multiple times with a folding pocket knife at the school's gym.
The attacker is being charged with attempted murder.
The victim is expected to be ok.
Cops say this is an isolated incident and not connected to a stabbing at the same school one week ago.
Piper High School in Sunrise was on lockdown Thursday following a stabbing on campus.
Sunrise Police say one student is in custody and another one was taken to Broward Medical Center with injuries.
The 16-year-old was reportedly stabbed in the chest.
An investigation is underway.
